OVERVIEW
The HD Video Doorbell lets you see who is at your door, talk to your visitors, and stream live video to check in on your home! Push notifications will alert you when your video doorbell has detected motion or someone rings your doorbell. The video doorbell replaces your existing doorbell button and powers through your existing doorbell wires. Add your video doorbell through the Blue by ADT app by saving your home's Wi-Fi network and then holding your phone in front of your video doorbell to scan the QR code. Your video doorbell will scan the QR code, connect to your Wi-Fi network and add to your account so you can use the app to stream live video, listen to audio, and use two-way talk to speak with visitors. All live streams, snapshots, and recorded clips will be saved in the cloud for your access at any time from the Blue by ADT app. You can view saved media, or download clips at any time from the app. Be sure to enable Push Notifications when using the video doorbell so you can be notified any time your doorbell rings or detects motion.

- Connect existing wires to the power bracket by loosening the screw, wrapping existing wired around screws and then tightening the screws.
- CAUTION: Make sure power is turned OFF, before touching wires!
- Secure the power bracket with screws to the wall/door frame.
- Do not over tighten screws which can cause the wires to be pinched or the power bracket to be bowed.
- Turn on the switch on the rear side of the video doorbell. It will take about 20 seconds to turn on and the LED ring will be solid blue turning this time.
- On the back of the video doorbell, open black weather protective seal and the On/Off toggle will be in the center. From left to right will be red reset button, On/Off toggle, and micro USB port.
- TIP: Use a paper clip to switch toggle to ON in the UP position.
- Clip the video doorbell into the mounting bracket by first aligning the top of the video doorbell with the top of the mounting bracket. Next, press the video doorbell into the bottom of the mounting bracket, until you hear it clip in.
Power Kit
The Power Kit included with the video doorbell is a small device, which supports doorbell chimes with different kinds of mechanical and digital chimes by going between the doorbell transformer and chime wiring. If you have an existing digital chimer, you must follow the steps below to setup the power kit.
- CAUTION: Before removing or attaching wires to your original chimer, be sure that the power is turned off at the circuit breaker box. Consult a licensed electrician if needed.
- Turn off the circuit breaker for the indoor chimer.
- Remove the cover from the indoor chimer.
- Loosen the “Front” and “Trans” terminal screws on the indoor chimer.
- Connect white wire from the Power Kit to the “Front” terminal, and the black wire to the “Trans” terminal, leaving the existing doorbell wires in place. Then, re-tighten the screws.
- Position the Power Kit inside your indoor chimer, away from any moving parts. Use the double-sided tape on the back of the Power Kit to fix it in place, if desired.
- Attach the cover back to the indoor chimer.
- Now you can restore power at the breaker to turn power at the doorbell back on.
