OVERVIEW

The Repeater is used to improve the communication of your sensors and devices with your Base.  If you have a home over 2500 sq ft or long distances between your sensors/devices and the Base, adding a Repeater to improve system communication helps your system.  If you experience issues with sensors going lost a repeater is helpful to correct a lost sensor.  Repeater are also helpful to have another point of sound in your home for chimes and alarm sirens if you have several floors in your home. 

  • The repeater has a built in 85 db siren. 
  • Repeater is only compatible with S30 systems. 

INSTALLING THE REPEATER

  1. Remove the contents from the package. 
  2. Open the Repeater from the back by pressing in the sides to detach the top cover.
  3. Pull the battery tab and re-insert the battery. 
  4. Realign the top cover with the bottom of the Repeater and snap securely back together. 
  5. Plug the power cord into the back of the Repeater and into an outlet.

CHANGING THE NAME OF A REPEATER

To change the settings of your Repeater, use your Touchpad (if included) or login to the web portal, iOS or Android app and go to Settings (the top right hear on apps) > Devices.  Under Devices Select the specific Device Name to edit the name and device settings. 

  • The default name of the Repeater is Repeater 0 or 1.  It is recommended to name the Repeater with the location of the device in your home to help you know identify device locations.  For example, Repeater Basement. 

PLACING THE REPEATER

The Repeater must be within 30 ft of your base unit and it must be connected with AC power outlet.The Repeater also should be free from metal objects or objects that generate heat such as a heater, cable or set top box, or internet router. 

REPEATER SETTINGS

You can customize the name and settings of your Repeater. 

  • Name:  Customize the Repeater name to the location of the repeater in the home. (Repeater Basement)
  • Chime:  The repeater will play a chime for sensors that are configured to have a chime tone when they are faulted. In the repeater settings, you can enable or disable the repeater from playing this tone.  
  • Entry Tone:  Allows you to turn off or on the Entry Delay Tone you will hear from the Repeater when the system was in an Armed state and someone enters the home through a door. 
  • Exit Away Tone: Allows you to turn off or on the Exit Away Delay Tone you will hear from the Repeater when the system is armed in Away mode.
  • Exit Stay Tone: Allows you to turn off or on the Exit Stay Delay Tone you will hear from the Repeater when the system is armed in Stay mode.
  • Alarm Siren: Allows you to turn off or on the alarm siren you will hear from the Repeater when the system enters into an alarmed state.  This is recommended to be turned on always.
