Content | OVERVIEW
The Outdoor Camera allows you to watch live video, record video when motion is detected, or record clips or snapshots if an event happens in your home. After your device is set up, you can adjust the camera’s motion sensitivity and the zone it detects motion in using your camera settings. You can also set up custom alerts that take a photo or record video whenever a specific sensor is triggered. For example:
- Place your camera near a door and create an alert to record video whenever the door is opened from 3-5pm so you know your children arrived home safe and sound.
- Add an alert to notify you if anyone enters through the side door and take a photo so you can be sure that the dog walker arrived on time.
BEFORE YOU GET STARTED
- Make sure you have the Wi-Fi Network (SSID) and Wi-Fi password for your home.
- Check your Wi-Fi signal where you are mounting the camera. For best performance, your camera requires a strong Wi-Fi signal. Consider adding a Wi-Fi range extender if the signal is poor at the desired mounting location.
CONNECTING CAMERA TO YOUR WIRELESS NETWORK
- Connect the power cable into the back of the camera, and plug the power adapter into an outlet.
- Launch the Blue by ADT app on your Android or iOS device.
- On the dashboard, enter Settings.
- Select Devices > + Add > Cameras > OC835-V5.
- Follow the in-app instructions for setup help, saving Wi-Fi, and configuring camera settings.
PLACING THE OUTDOOR CAMERA
- Locate an unused, non-switchable, indoor outlet to plug the AC/DC Power Adapter to plug into. This outlet should be located as close as possible to the location where the camera will be permanently mounted.
- CAUTION: Do not plug in the power adapter until all the connections are completed and the camera is fully mounted.
- Run the supplied power cable from the outdoor location where the camera will be mounted to the power outlet.
- At the location where the camera will be mounted, unscrew the camera stand and remove it from the camera if already attached.
- Hold the stand at the location where you would like to mount the camera and mark the location of the two mounting holes.
- Drill two holes on the mounting surface at the marked locations. If using the anchors, insert them into the mounting holes.
- Align the two mounting holes on the camera stand with the two holes and mount the stand to the surface using the two supplied screws.
- Screw/attach the camera onto the camera stand.
- Connect the power cable into the back of the camera.
- Insert the grommet between the camera and the power input cover.
- CAUTION: Ensure that the grommet is positioned properly to prevent water from entering the camera.
- Rotate the power input cover clockwise to tighten it, providing a watertight seal for the power cable.
- Plug the power adapter into an outlet.
- Remove the retaining screw from the receptacle plate and plug the power adapter into the lower power outlet. Replace the retaining screw.
- Adjust the camera to the desired position and secure it firmly.
- Verify that the camera is connected to the wireless network.

You have the option to customize by:
- Sensitivity
- Time Frame - by day of the week and by hour
