The Entry Keypad is the primary controller for your home security system. It should be placed by an entrance in your home like your front door or garage door and can be mounted on the wall or set on a tabletop. Ideally the keypad is plugged into an outlet for the best experience, but it can be used with only batteries if you do not have access to a power outlet.
INSTALLING THE ENTRY KEYPAD INCLUDED WITH YOUR KIT
After the base has been set up, open the box labeled “Step 2” and remove the device. Follow these steps to complete the device set-up:
Remove the back by lifting on the snap
Pull out the plastic battery tabs, making sure the batteries remain in place
Recommended, but Optional: Plug the power cord into the back of the Entry Keypad
Replace the back cover on the keypad by inserting top tabs before snapping the cover back into place.

If you have purchased a keypad after initial install you may have to pair the device with your Base. To do this, pull the battery tab as outlined above. Go to Settings > Devices > Security Devices > and select Keypad. Follow the instructions on the application to pair the device. When the device is paired the base will play a confirmation sound to indicate the keypad has been successfully activated.
