Overview

A keychain remote can be added to any master, admin, standard, or basic user by the master or admin user.

Using your keychain remote is the only arming and disarming method that does not require a code. If you lose a keychain remote, do not worry. You can easily remove it from the system using the app or web portal to disable access and keep your home secure.

Setting up keychain remotes included with your kit

Your keychain remote in your kit comes paired to the master user with your system already. You can arm and disarm right out of the box!

Setting up an accessory keychain remote

To add an accessory keychain remote to your home security system, set up the keychain remote and then configure it using your iOS or Android apps, or the web portal when you are at the home. Select the user who will use the keychain remote. You should add/invite a new user to the system before adding the keychain remote.

Note: You can only have one keychain remote per user.
  1. Open the app or web portal, go to Menu > Users
  2. Select the user’s name who will use the keychain remote.
  3. Under the user’s name, you will see the word “Keychain.”
  4. Select "Add."Press and hold Away and Off simultaneously for 3 seconds.
The system will chime if you have successfully added the keychain remote. Also, the dialog box will close on its own.

How to arm your system using the keychain remote

  • ARM STAY (includes exit delay) - Press and hold STAY button (house with a person) for three seconds
  • ARM AWAY (includes exit delay) - Press and hold the AWAY button (person walking out the door) for three seconds
  • ARM INSTANT (no exit delay) - Not available
  • DISARM - Press and hold the UNLOCK button for three seconds

Using the keychain remote's panic alarm

To enable the ability to set off a panic alarm from the keychain remote, go to Menu > Users > Select. Select the user associated with the keychain remote and toggle on the "Access to Panic Mode." Once panic is enabled on the keychain remote, it can be initiated on the keychain remote by pressing "Stay" and the star ("*") button at the same time when within range of the system.
