Overview
Your Blue by ADT system can do more than just security. IFTTT integration lets customers pair outside devices with their Blue by ADT security system.
Connecting Blue by ADT with IFTTT
IFTTT lets you integrate with other compatible smart devices in your home such as Nest, EcoBee, Ring, Lutron, Arlo, WeMo, iRobot, and more. To pair these devices, go to If This Than That (https://ifttt.com) to create an account using your email, Google, or Facebook account, or you can sign in to an existing account.
Once you create an IFTTT account, you can search for the service called “Blue by ADT” and enter your credentials to connect your account. Using the Blue by ADT service lets you create applets that help control other devices or control your security system. Choose either a pre-existing Blue by ADT applet or create your own.
Pairing services through applets lets you create a wide variety of rules. Some examples are:
- Turn on your lights when motion is detected from your Ring, Nest, or Arlo devices.
