The Nest Mini* allows you to take full advantage of the Blue by ADT integration with Google Assistant. Using the Google Home app and your Google account, you can link your Nest Mini to your Blue by ADT account and conveniently arm and disarm your security system using just your voice. After linking your accounts, you can also use your voice to control any linked Z-Wave lights, locks, plug-ins, thermostats and garage door openers.
Setting up your Nest Mini
Before you set up your Nest Mini, you’ll need to have a Google account and an Android™ or iOS device with the Google Home app installed. Download the Android app on Google Play or get the iOS version on the Apple app store.
Connect the power adapter to your Nest Mini and plug it into an open outlet.

Linking your Blue by ADT account
To link your Blue by ADT system with your Nest Mini, you must link your account by adding the Blue system to the same Home in the Google Home app.
1. Ensure your Blue by ADT security system is set up and working correctly. 2. Download the Google Home app to set up your Nest Mini. 3. After set up is complete, sync your Blue system with your Nest Mini by completing the following steps:
a. Launch the Google Home app.
b. At the top left corner of the home page, tap +. c. Select “Set Up Device.” d. Select “Works with Google.”
e. Search and select “Blue by ADT” and follow the in-app steps to complete set up.
4. Now you can control your system using just your voice. Try saying, “Hey Google, disarm my system” or “Hey Google, arm my system”
Unlink your Blue by ADT account
If you want to remove your Blue by ADT devices from the list of devices in your Google account, you can also do this through the Google Home app.
Launch your Google Home app and select + to add an action. Then, in the “Add to home” section, select “Set up device,” click on “Works with Google” and select “Blue by ADT.”
After selecting “Blue by ADT,” click on “Unlink Account,” confirm your decision in the pop-up, and then your Blue by ADT devices will be removed.

How do I arm and disarm my Blue by ADT security system using my Nest Mini?
Once the accounts are linked, you can talk to Google to control your system and any lights, door locks and thermostats that are paired.

Google Assistant will ask for your pin. (Pre-setup is required.)
Then say your 4-digit user code to disarm your system.
What if I do not see all of my Blue by ADT devices on my Google Home app?
Launch your Google Home app and select + to add an action. Then, in the “Add to Home” section, select “Set up device,” click on “Works with Google” and search for “Blue by ADT.”
After selecting “Blue by ADT,” select “Check for New Devices.” Google will attempt to sync any new devices that were added to your Blue by ADT account.
My Nest Mini regularly goes offline. Can I fix this?
If your device is regularly going offline, it may be too far from the Wi-Fi router. You can improve your Wi-Fi signal by moving the device closer to the Wi-Fi router or the source of your home network.
How do I change the name of my device?
Make sure that your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your speaker or display. Open the Google Home app. Tap the device that you want to edit and tap “Name.” Enter a new name and tap “Save” in the top right corner.
