If you are receiving a notification that a device is lost it could be due to a number of reasons:
Sensor Battery is Low or Dead: If you have been receiving notifications regarding a low battery for the device, there is a strong chance that your battery died and needs to be replaced. Please see this article for information on what battery to buy for your device: Low Battery - New.
Metal Objects Near Base: Metal objects or interference around your Base may cause shielding, which greatly reduces the bases range. If this is happening, the Base may not be able to hear a sensor that is further than 30ft from the base.
Base is Placed On Objects That Generate Heat: Setting your base on a cable box, stereo, or in a closed cabinet with other devices may cause the base to become overheated and compromise its performance.
Distance of Sensor From Base: If your sensor is over 30ft from the base you may want to consider moving the base closer to the sensor. In order to do this, you can put the base on Wi-Fi by following these instructions for setting up the Base network, or you can order a repeater to improve the range within your home.
Materials Between Base and Sensor: In some cases, a base may have problems reaching the sensor due to metal mesh in plaster walls, concrete or brick walls, or other things that may interfere with the signal in the wall. If this is the case, please follow the instructions above to move the base closer to the sensor by using Wi-Fi, or you may need a repeater to improve coverage in your home.
