Cameras and Saved Media

OVERVIEW

Blue by ADT's applications and web portal give you access to your cameras and saved media from anywhere!  You can stream a live video or view an archived video or snapshot from your application or web portal.  Here we will discuss how to access your cameras on the dashboard and saved media. 

VIEWING CAMERAS

  • APPLICATIONS

    • On the dashboard you can customize the view of your cameras in a grid or stacked view.  In the upper right hand corner of the Cameras card you can select the rectangles to change the card view.  If you have several cameras a grid view may be preferred to view all of your cameras at once. A stacked view will give your a larger camera image to view. 
    • Your cameras on the dashboard will display the most recent snapshot image taken from your camera.  By default snapshot at login is enabled which is a setting on the cameras to take a snapshot image once when you login to the application or web portal.  This gives you a recent view of your camera as soon as you login. 
    • By tapping on your camera image you will see icons for Play, Saved Media, and Expand once your camera image was selected. 
      • Expand - By selecting expand you will enlarge your camera image into a full screen view. 
      • Saved Media - By selecting the Saved Media icon you will be redirected to a page which contains all of your saved snapshot images, and recorded video clips. 
      • Play - By selecting play the camera will load a live stream video of your cameras.  After 5 minutes the live stream will time out.  If you want to continue watching video you may select play again to start the live video stream.
  • WEB PORTAL

    • Your cameras on the dashboard will display the most recent snapshot image taken from your camera.  By default when you login to the apps, a snapshot is taken to show you what is happening at your location. This can be disabled if you choose in your settings by going to Settings > Devices > choosing your camera and enabling or disabling "Snapshots at Login" 
    • On your camera image you will see icons for Play, Saved Media, and Expand. 
      • Play - By selecting play the camera will load a live stream video of your cameras.  After 5 minutes the live stream will time out.  If you want to continue watching video you may select play again to start the live video stream.
      • Saved Media - By selecting the Saved Media icon you will be redirected to a page which contains all of your saved snapshot images, and record video clips. 
      • Expand - By selecting expand you will enlarge your camera image into a full screen view. You may before or after expanding the view start streaming live video. 

VIEWING SAVED MEDIA ON APPLICATIONS AND WEB PORTAL

  • APPLICATIONS

    • Saved media on your application may be accessed by taping on the camera image on the dashboard and selecting the Saved Media icon. 
    • Here you can find saved media by date range, camera name or by camera media type:
      • Date Range - Saved media is sorted by Today, Yesterday, and then by timestamp.
      • Camera Name - At the top you will see the name of your camera in which you are currently viewing media from. 
      • Media Type - Saved media is shown with icons per clip for either a photo or record video. 
    • The applications also have a feature so you can save media to your devices photo gallery.  You can select individual clips and then select the download icon to save media to your personal device. 
    • By selecting a clip you may also delete saved media by selecting the trash can icon. 
  • WEB PORTAL

    • Saved media on your web portal can be accessed ether by clicking on the Media camera icon, or by clicking on the Saved Media icon within your camera image. 
    • Your saved media will be sorted by most recent at the top from all cameras.
    • You can filter saved media by camera name, date range, or media type.
      • Date Range - Saved media is sorted by Today, Yesterday, and then by timestamp. You can click on the calendars to change the starting and ending date range you would like to view.
      • Camera Name - At the top you will see the name of your camera in which you are currently viewing media from.  You can also select All Cameras to view all saved media.
      • Media Type - This is a filter that allows you to view all videos and snapshots, just videos, or just snapshots. 
    • Select allows you select all saved media shown on the page at once by selecting All.  You may then delete all the selected media clips. 
    • Saved media can be downloaded to your computer.  When viewing a saved media clip, you can click on a saved media clip and then click download to save to your computer.
    • Load More Media at the bottom of your page will load more saved media below the already loaded media. 

Note: All saved media will expire and be removed from your account after 30 days or 60 days depending on your camera package.
