The Blue by ADT Solar Panel for Blue Wireless Outdoor Camera helps your camera battery maintain a longer charge. By placing the panel in a sunny area and connecting it to your outdoor camera battery, the solar panel will reduce the time in between battery charges and increase battery life.Setting up your Solar Panel for Blue Wireless Outdoor Camera Included in box:• Solar panel• Mounting plate• Mounting arm• Adjustable joint• Mounting screws and anchors (x3) • Connector screws (x2)Before you get startedPre-assemble the solar panel, mounting arm and mounting plate and hold it up for a dry run to ensure you will be happy with the final mounting location.
- Select your installation spot in an outdoor area that gets as much sun exposure as possible and is close enough to your outdoor camera for the charging cable to reach.
- Use the round mounting plate as a template to mark the screw holes.
- Attach the mounting plate to the wall with the included screws.
- Use a drill to pre-drill holes and use the included anchors for added stability if you're mounting the solar panel on material like brick or stucco.
- Attach the adjustable joint to the arm and then attach the arm to the mounting plate.
- Note: Make sure the joint is tight before you attach it to the arm.
- Slightly loosen the attachment joint to attach the solar panel. Once attached, tighten the padded knob into the back of the solar panel.
- Note: If you need to adjust the angle of the solar panel for optimal sun exposure, loosen the adjustment screw on the mounting joint, set your preferred angle and then tighten it to secure it in place.
- Remove the weatherproof plug from the back of your outdoor camera battery and attach your solar panel cord with the provided connector screws.
- Pro tip: Make sure your outdoor camera’s battery has a full charge. The solar panel keeps your battery charged, but is not a replacement for the battery.
- Note: If your outdoor camera is not already mounted, follow the instructions for setting up and mounting your camera before attaching it to the solar panel.

- Protect the cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles and the point where it exits the device.
