When your Blue by ADT system becomes live monitored you are no longer in practice mode. If an alarm occurs, three connected monitoring centers will be notified who will alert the police.
If an alarm is triggered
In the event an alarm is triggered, you will be contacted by the monitoring center to verify the situation before alerting the authorities. This measure helps reduce false alarms which can result in fines and service suspensions by your municipality. (If you used the panic button or a duress code, the authorities will be alerted right away).
REMINDER: The monitoring passcode you chose during activation is very important to remember. If there is an alarm and the monitoring center calls you, you will need to provide your monitoring passcode to cancel the alarm
Who ADT contacts
Our monitoring center will call the primary contact, followed by the secondary contact if the first person is not available. If both the primary and secondary cannot be reached, the authorities will be contacted.
Accidental alarms
If an alarm is accidentally triggered, you can cancel the alarm from your entry keypad or app. If you are unable to cancel the alarm in time, keep your phone line free so the monitoring center can reach you.
