The Blue by ADT Indoor Camera allows you to watch live video, record video, or capture snapshots if motion is detected in your home. New features, such as Facial Recognition and 2-way talk, allow you to receive alerts about known and unknown faces, as well as talk to visitors. The Blue by ADT mobile app lets you customize your camera’s motion and alert settings to suit your needs and lifestyle. For example:

Before you get started, make sure you have:
Wi-Fi and broadband internet connection with at least 2 Mbps upload speed
Wi-Fi network (SSID) and password
Phillips screwdriver or drill with Phillips driver bit (optional)
Power drill with drill bits for pilot holes (optional)
Note: Mounting using screws and anchors are optional and recommended if mounting on a solid surface.
Connecting camera to your wireless network
In order to add your Blue by ADT Indoor Camera, you will need to download the Blue by ADT app on your Android or iOS device. Find your device’s app by searching “Blue by ADT” in the iOS App Store or Android Play Store.
Launch the app on your Android or iOS device. On the dashboard, select the Menu icon in the top left-hand corner. Select <Devices > + (Add) > Cameras > Indoor Camera.
Follow the in-app instructions for setup help, saving Wi-Fi, and configuring camera settings.
We recommend that you test your camera’s connection to Wi-Fi by watching a live video or taking a snapshot while the camera is next to the router before moving it to its final location. After a few moments, tap on Menu Icon > Devices > Camera Name, and it will display the Wi-Fi strength icon next to the camera. If you have more than one Indoor Camera, you can repeat the steps above to set up each one.
You must know your Wi-Fi or wireless network (SSID) name, and your Wireless Password to complete this process.
Positioning the camera
Find a location where you know you will receive a good signal from either your home Wi-Fi network or the Blue by ADT Extender + Chime.
Remove the bottom cover of the Indoor Camera with a coin. Tip: You can use a 3/16-inch Allen wrench in the bottom of the stand if you wish adjust tightness of the joint connecting the camera to the stand
A mounting plate is provided to use as a template to mark where to drill (with a ¼-inch drill bit) to make pilot holes for the anchors and screws.
Use the provided screws and anchors to secure the mounting plate. Tip: It is recommended to use anchors only if mounting to a solid surface in your home.
Secure the camera back to the mounting plate by securing the stand in the plate and twisting 45 degrees clockwise.
Be sure your camera is connected to power using the provided USB power cord and adapter at all times.
Configuring advanced camera motion detection
Blue by ADT cameras provide you with advanced motion detection based on a motion zone you set, and the sensitivity settings you choose. When motion is detected, the camera will record that event for 30 seconds so you can see what caused it. To customize your Indoor Camera motion settings:
Go to Settings > Devices > Select Camera Name > Motion
You have the option to customize by:
Sensitivity
Time frame—by day of the week and hour
Arm state
Users—who will be notified for the motion detection event
Users can manage their own notification methods. The master user controls which user/s will be notified.
Changing the name of a camera
To change the name of your Indoor Camera, log into the Web portal, iOS app, or Android app, and go to Menu Icon > Devices. Under “Cameras”, select the specific camera name to edit the name.

Your camera supports on-device storage using a Class 10 or better SD card with minimum storage of 16GB and maximum storage of 128GB. SD card storage will allow your camera to save recorded media in the event of an internet disconnection.
