You may receive Alerts at your email address, text message, or you can also receive them via push notification. In Settings > Notification Methods you can configure your email addresses and phone numbers you would like to have notifications sent to.

ADDING OR EDITING A NEW ALERT

When you are adding a new alert, or editing an existing alert, you will go through a wizard which allows you to customize your Alert.

  • Step 1: Alert Name - Customize a name for your personal Alert.
  • Step 2: Trigger Category - Select the trigger category for your alert. Here you can choose to set up a sensor, alarm or arm/disarm alert. Or you can select a troubled event such as issues with devices, sensors, or network related issues.
  • Step 3: Trigger - Once you have selected your trigger category, you will be presented a list of relevant triggers. For example, if you choose "Sensor", then you can select one or more sensors that you want to fire the alert. This could be send me a notification and take a picture anytime my front door, garage door, or patio door are opened.
  • Step 4: Details - Once you've chosen a trigger, then you also have the ability to choose whether the alert will fire when an action occurs. For example, if you choose a door sensor, you are presented with an option to get a notification when the door opens or when the door closes. You can also choose to receive a notification if the door doesn't open. This can be used to receive a notification if the kids don't get home from school between 3-5pm.
  • Step 5: Camera Action - Once you have set-up your trigger details, you then can also add an action for you camera to take a video or snapshot as part of the alert. This will then be attached to your message so you can see what caused the alert.
  • Step 6: Notifications - On the notifications step, you can choose the notification methods you would like to receive the alerts too. Each alert must have at least one.
  • Step 7: Alert Time Frame - The final step for setting up an alert is to choose what times you would like the alert to come. This can be always, or a custom time window by selecting the day of the start time and end time, as well as the days of the week you would like to have it sent.
