I purchased or leased a security system. Do I need to create an account?
Yes, in order to activate and operate your system, and to control your account, you must create an account. Accounts are NOT automatically created and require additional information from you not obtained at the point of purchase.How do I create my Account?Once you receive your product(s) in the mail, download and open the FREE Blue by ADT mobile app. From there, follow these steps:
- Click on Create Account and enter your first name, last name and the same email address you used to place your order.
- Validate your email address, create a password and set your location.
- Follow the in-app setup guide and set up your system by entering the activation code found inside the box with your product(s).

You can create your account after you receive your product(s) in the mail. You’ll need to enter the Activation Code provided on the printed insert inside the box to create your account.
How can I delete my Blue by ADT app account?
If you are the Master User on the account, you may delete your account by logging into the Blue by ADT app. Follow the following steps to delete your account:
- Log in to the Blue by ADT mobile app.
- Go to Settings.
- Go to My Profile.
- At the bottom of My Profile, select the red text that states Delete App Account.
- After choosing Delete App Account, you will be presented with a confirmation screen with the options Call Support and Delete App Account.
- Select Delete App Account if you wish to delete your account. If you wish to cancel your monitoring services, please contact 1-877-464-7437.
Note: By deleting your Blue by ADT app account, you will no longer have access to Blue by ADT app or portal, nor be able to remotely control your ADT system (e.g. Arm/Disarm) or equipment. Deleting your Blue by ADT app account does not cancel your monitoring plan. Your account will continue to be billed. If you wish to cancel your monitoring services, please contact 1-877-464-7437.
Can I still Arm/Disarm my ADT System if I delete my Blue by ADT app account?
Yes, you can continue to Arm/Disarm your system on your Blue by ADT Smart Home Hub, Keypad, and Keychain. However, you will not be able to log into the Blue by ADT app to do so remotely. You will also no longer receive alerts and notifications from your Blue by ADT system.
Does deleting my Master User account delete all Secondary User accounts?
No. Only the Master User account can be deleted. All Secondary User accounts will continue to exist.
How do I reactivate my Blue by ADT app account if it was deleted by accident?
Your account can be reactivated by contacting customer support by clicking the chat button on the bottom right corner of the screen. We are happy to help. However, you will need to reenter your information, as the data is not carried over from your deleted Blue by ADT app account.
